When I first met with Mark and Jemma in January of 2019, I knew their day was going to be some kind of special. ALL wedding days are beautiful but their day was an incredible testament to the love of Christ. The whole day was just saturated in a special presence that was indescribable and I was honored to be there to capture it.
I started the day as I always do, with the bride and her girls. Jemma, her sisters and her mum were in full prep and already having so much fun. I could tell as soon as I stepped in the house that this day was going to be a proper blast!
Before we knew it, it was time for the girls to get dressed and make our way to the Clandeboye for the day! Jemma's sisters lovingly helped her into her STUNNING gown (honestly one of the most stunning gowns I've ever seen), added the finishing touches and we were off.
Mark, the videographer (from Mark Ryan Wedding Films) and I headed to the venue to meet up with the guys and do some shots of their last minute prep before Jemma and her ladies arrived
Now I've sat through, participated in and shot my fair share of ceremonies, but believe me when I say that this one was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I've EVER experienced. As worship leaders themselves, Mark and Jemma made sure that worship was a mainstay in their day. And let me tell you, the presence of the Lord was so thick in that room. I always believe that marriage is a sacred act and covenant and this ceremony made me remember exactly why I feel that way. I hope you know that the Lord loves you. He's called you by name and you are His. He loves you unconditionally and marriage is a perfect representation of that.
The rest of their day followed suit in being the definition of joy. I loved my time with their families, their bridal party and mostly THEM! They are so in love that it is a JOY to capture them and I have to physically stop myself from shooting.
The speeches that followed we so full of a rich history and legacy of connection and love. Jemma's father had passed a few years prior and he was honored and remembered in so much of the day. We partied hard into the night and finished their day with THE most epic sparkler send off.
I can honestly say that I enjoyed every second of the day and I would happily do it over and over. See more highlights of their day below!
